Hello WebmasterWorld People,

.TK official web site: www.dot.tk [dot.tk]

There are a few different types of domain names that the .TK offers.

Free Domains - Free Domain Names [dot.tk] - Requires you to have existing web site. Great for URL forwarding or alternative domains for web sites.

Paid Domains - PAIDDOMAIN.TK [PAIDDOMAIN.TK] - Full control over domain name.

Special Domains - SPECIALDOMAIN.TK [SPECIALDOMAIN.TK] - Domains the .TK people deam worthy of a little more value - of corse cost is a little more.

Trademark Domains - TRADEMARK.TK [TRADEMARK.TK] - This is my favorite one, for the large corporations or commonly talked about names that are trademarked the domain names are pre-registered and the rightful owner has to prove ownership. The next thing is Also, the registrant is 'kindly' asked to donate a fee for obtaining this Dot TK trademark address. All fees will be donated directly towards the Tokelau sponsorship program, where a fund will allocate money towards educational projects, medical supplies and projects for building infrastructure on the island of Tokelau.

Exert
Dot TK is a joint venture of the Government of Tokelau, it's communication company Teletok and Taloha, Inc., a privately held company. The Government of Tokelau has appointed Taloha, Inc. as the exclusive registration entity.

Taloha is privately funded and has offices in San Francisco, USA and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With its management team, an experienced staff and multi-redundant backbones in both countries Taloha can handle millions of registrations.

Get them while they last!

"Originally settled by Polynesian emigrants from surrounding island groups, the Tokelau Islands were made a British protectorate in 1889. They were transferred to New Zealand administration in 1925. According to a UN report, these low-lying islands will disappear in the 21st century, if global warming continues to raise sea levels."

On the bottom of the .TK homepage it shows the most recent registered domain names, looks like people are registering them @ a quicker pace now.

Always use secure connections from credit cards - email them and let them know you wont buy via Credit card unless it is secure.
