I've just had a Genie rep on the phone offering a new deal in direct competition with Realnames.

Basically the deal is to purchase keywords for 250 for 2 years thereafter 95 per year to renew, works in the same way as Realnames, at least that was the rep's push until I quizzed him a bit, it was then that he told me that a genie browser plug in would also be required to enable the keyword to work!

The thing that really put the icing on the cake was he couldn't even tell me what percentage of browsers had the plugging, needless to say I told him very politely were he could put his plugging

Relanames is fairly well known and IMO provides very little return, I can't imagine how bad an unknown that requires a plugin would perform. Is this a variation of "smartlinks" by any chance?
