Is .mobi for adult websites?

When exactly will they be starting and have they been approved?

I think .mobi is for mobile phone websites.

Not jumping on this bandwagon. IMHO most "mobile" devices are (or will be soon) capable of browsing websites as-is. No need for a slimmed down version. Plus, if I want a mobile version, I will just use "mobile.mydomain.com".

Why register another extension? Doesn't make sense to me. Just another way for registrars to profit by having thousands of companies buy them up just to protect their trademarks.

Have you read the T&C's for using these?

Don't get too excited!
