Have example.com and example.edu

com is active. what are the implications of redir edu?

One of my clients has a .com (example.com) and also they qualify for a .edu. (example.edu) which they also have.

The .com is active, decently ranked and is getting decent traffic. They .edu is inactive at this point

I was wondering what problems would occur if we domain forwarded the .edu to the .com (we aren't quite ready to change everything over to .edu yet).

Would domain forwarding of edu - > com work? Is there a better way to do this?

Permanent redirects, are according to Matt Cutts of Google, the best approach - at least when he addressed the question several months ago.
