I have a domain which at present is in incubation, but I have big plans for it selling particular products, and should be working on it this year...

At present it is not up anywhere and is simply parked. I've not put it about anywhere not used it for email address verification nothing, yet the amount of spam it collects is more than any other domain I've ever had, of which I have over 100 ..

My problem is that I am receiving knockback emails from the spam filters of the people they are accessing .. I don't see the point in this as they are not discovering which email accounts are live or not.. that aside.. my worry is that when I do go live with this domain because of the amount of spam that is being used on this domain it will be blocked from my legitimate emails..

Could this be a real problem for my new business when it is up and running..

don't know why they would pick on my domain, like I say I've not had this problem with any other domain.

Could this be a potential competitor messing up my cred before I even get there?

I'm a little perplex and concerned .. any ideas?

Metaphorically

Only one thing comes to mind: check public spam blacklists now and see if your domain is already listed. I've heard it can be tough to get off some of these lists (no first-hand experience with it myself), but it'd be a lot better to do it up front and save yourself the hassle of users not getting your mail later.
