www.www.? What's happening?

Google has a site with my name but a double www.www. prefix!

www.mydomain.com appears in the search results in Google as www.www.mydomain.co.uk - is this my site or is something funny happening?

It loks like my site and the email functions all work as they should.

My site just jumped quite high in the SERPS and now this?

This would probably be better in the Google Search forum.

One domain-relevant question, which should be obvious, but I'll ask it anyway...

Does www.www.mydomain.co.uk resolve? If so, it's your problem, and we can probably help you fix it.

Otherwise, it's some Google glitch.

Yes it does resolve - so does www.www.ww.mydomain..... what is happening?

Sounds like you've set up a "wildcard" DNS record.

Probably not a good idea. You've apparently discovered one of the negatives.

You'll have to straighten this out at your DNS host.

Will this affect my serps?
