I want to build a website loaded with widget information. Revenue solely from advertising income. I won't be selling anything. Audience / Target traffic is global.

www.widget.com taken
www.widgetsample.com taken
www.mywidgetsample.com available
www.widget.net taken
www.widegetsample.net & .info available

Should I get the longer .com name? or the shorter .net / .info name? Between .net and .info, which to register and develop?

Thank you for your insight.

.info sites seem to be the new home of spam-mongers.

.net is OK, depending on what you're doing.

.com really is the gold standard. I'd also look at other variations for something catchy.

freewidgets
freewidgetsamples
widgeting
widgeter
widgeteer
widgetworld (works for this site)
widgettest
widgetreport
hotwidgets

Regarding .info domains, I also see many spam sites with that TLD. I also see many spam sites with .net .org .com .co.uk.

Crucially, I also see quality .info sites with a good rank.
