domain name help

use parked or addon

I registered a domain name and got a hosting company. The hosting company said that if i wanted to build another website(nothing to do with the current site) that i can add up to 3 sites to the hosting plan.

The question that i have is would i add that as a parked or addon domain? i asked the hosting company and the answer was very confusing and takes up to 48 hours for an answer.

So i thought i would ask people that can give me a good answer fast. This is in cpanel and could someone please give me a fast how to. Thanks John

A parked domain will just act as another url for your current website. If you want the new domain to be a different site, you'll need to use an addon domain.

Add On. And, FWIW, if it takes them 48 hours to answer that you may want to shop around for a more responsive hosting company before your plan comes up for renewal!
