A few interesting things I discovered were...
One particular company in Sweden seemed to corner the market on a number of prime domains, after some investigation I discovered or rather believe that there tactic was to register these generic names as trademarks in Sweden then use this purchase to submit domains during sunrise .. a complete abuse of the trademark loophole ...
I also believe that the domain business is probibly the dirtiest internet business out there, it is unbelievable some of the cut throat policies domain companies use to get hold of what they want.. so once again bulk purchase has swallowed the oppertunity.
I read that one domain company had 3000 domains up for repurchase litterally the next day..
Governments spend so much hype dollars to try and crack down on so called www abuse and attempt to get control, when the real pirates are these poorly legislated against companies that are laughing at the incompetence of legislators, getting control of commercial companies seems to me to be far more of an important issue than trying to stop people passing information?
The real cybersquatters are these people..
I don't know why I find it so shocking when I already knew it would be that way, yet once again people looking for a decent web presence will be held to ransom ..
I'm now busy checking on alternative names and have actually turned up one or two that surprisingly have not been registered however none of them make up for the loss of my unique company name.
I wonder how much they're going to hold me for ransom?
There would only be one consolation with a successful purchase, at least it would be 100% tax deductible!
