I`m looking to find the most searched word in several languages.

Any advice about free tools for doing this?

Cheers.

Have you used Overture.com's search inventory tool? [inventory.overture.com]

It's free, as long as you don't abuse it.

You can also try Overture's non-english versions.

French [inventory.fr.overture.com]
German [inventory.de.overture.com]
Italian [inventory.it.overture.com]
Spanish [inventory.es.overture.com]

thank you, I know Overture but I don`t know WHICH words to search!

I don`t need or at least I did not mean I need to know now HOW MANY TIMES those words have been searched but all I need is the list of the most searched words.....something like:

1) sex
2) travel
3) wifi
4) casino
5) business
6) credit
7) barbie
8) donald duck
9) microsoft
10) girls

And I need the list not translated in Spanish but the most searched words from Spanish speakers.
Then the French one, the Italian one ....should be easy that one....the German.....very hard...and so on.

Any free software?
Thank you

Google Sandbox:

[adwords.google.com...]

This won't provide you search numbers, but will give you keyword options.

Google Zeitgeist has an international version that gives you the top queries for several countries.

Also, if you google for "top searches" you'll find several other places that list the top search queries in a period of time.

Note that all this data is usually a month or more behind.

I am not a lawyer, but IMO registering domains containing these (and similar trademark) terms would be asking for trouble. You should think it over very carefully before you go down that path.

LOL :) Nativenewyorker.........obviously it was just an example to complete 10 words!

Just because I wrote about registering popular names does not mean that I am that dumb :)

Thanks to KUFU and JOLLYK! I will look at that soon.

I'd have thought donald duck would have been much higher :)
