domain server country

Dear Webmasters,

First of all, great forum. Second, forgive me if I have missed a post where this is already been asked.

Now the big question.

I have recently registered a domain and hosting located in another (EU)country than where I am from (Holland).

Now have I heard and read that if you have your domain and hosting located anywhere else than Holland (for example), you are going to get big problems getting your site SEO'd for google.nl (google holland).

So I am already past that point where I understand the problem/challenge.

So do you have any ideas how I could change this without changing hosts (for now), or do some things to get me an advantage?

Your help would be great and very appreciated.

Again thanks a lot!

If possible get the .nl variant of your domain. (If it is a .nl domain already, you should not have any problems getting into google.nl's index.)

Thanks JMC,

The thing is, I already have the .nl. and I am already in the index.

The problem is, that it will be hard to get in the upper search results of google.nl cus my host is in another country.

Or am I wrong about this? If not, what could I do about this?

Thanks a lot!
