Hi, I am thinking of registering a couple of dozen keyphrases and pointing them to my url.

Can this benefit my site or result in a penalty with Google?

cheers...

btw. This is the best forum for webmasters, hands down!

Hi Pepperfield and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Your question is a recurring one.

I trust, by now, that you may have noticed this thread, that followed your post:

[webmasterworld.com...]

A hint for future posting: Use both lines "up top" when preparing a post to specifiy as much detail about your question as the Subject line and Meta Description line will allow. More details tends to evoke more answers. I don't always have the time to "improve" the subject/meta that people use, but I've noticed when I do they tend to get more responses. I guess it's because we're all busy and don't have the time to open every thread to see what people are really asking.

Again, welcome to the flock and I look forward to your contributions. Please take a moment to read the Charter [webmasterworld.com] as it will make everyone's experience better if you are familiar with it.
