Registar lock status.what does it mean and how does it affect

Domain under register lock status, will it affect me as a buyer/seller

Hi All,

I am a bit confused on registar lock status on domains.

If I am a seller of a domain and the status shows register lock, does that mean I cant sell the domain?

Could someone pls explain to me the concept of registar lock on a domain and how does it affect the buyer/seller.

A domain name that's locked up is at least prevented from being transferred to another registrar. What else it prevents is up to the current registrar.

If you're the owner of the domain name, your registrar should give you an online option to turn it off.

You turn off the lock if the buyer wants to transfer the name to another registrar.
