which would bring more typeins/would be better SEO-wise?

K, I'd like to register a .com domain that has a place name and the word "airport" in it.

Should the place name go first followed by airport or would you pick the reversed order?

I hope to get some typeins, as well as to develop the site a little bit if it seems to be reasonable.

I'd have thought it's a no-brainer. An airport, like castles, usually 'belong' to a town and hence should be written as 'place airport'. There are exceptions to this, usually where more than one airport serves a city, such as London (Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, London City).

As for SEO, the obvious choice will also be better as it will match the phrase used to search.

I've just built three airport web sites and I used PlaceAirport.com and it seems to work realy well. The only thing I would suggest is that maybe AirplacePlace.com might work better for you if it's very competive and you have little chance of showing up on the first page using PlaceAirport.com.

OTOH, both. I just checked "mycityairport.com" and "airportmycity.com". Both are owned by the company. Both with fake registrant data.

Neither gave what a user would want, which is information on the airport for my city. Both offered "cheap tickets".

It's sad to see the continual dumbing-down of the Internet.

Why don't you register both. Its only $9/year for each. You can redirect one to the other and track to see which is more popular.
