Hi. I'm totally new here, so this might be a dumb questions. Please bear with me.

Just yesterday I purchased a domain name for affiliate purpose. <snip> While looking up possible domain names, I found out that somewebsites <snip> consist of all links, but not actual pages. I've stumbled websites like this all the time, but do not really know what's behind this.

How can I make something like this one, before I make a legitimate website?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld ansatzjp. Please take a moment to click the "Charter" link at the bottom of your first post. The Charter contains important guidelines about posting.

Pages that display only links are usually domain parking pages, although I've seen some affiliate pages that are little more than banner ad links.

There are a variety of domain parking programs. You have to read the TOS of each to learn if your domains qualify.

You might do better to make a minisite that would comply with the TOS of AdSense.

I assume that you are new to web development. A new domain just registered is parked at your registrar and usually they will put all sort of links at that parking page. Have you signed up with a web hosting company?

If you already signed up then you have to change the nameservers of your domain name to point to your web host so that you can develop your site or put your own affiliate links at that page.

Your hosting company will provide you with 2 nameservers e.g. something like this :

ns1.yourhostingcompany.com
ns2.yourhostingconpany.com

You go to your registrar control panel and change the parking nameservers to the nameservers provided by your hosting company like the example above.

Webwork: Oh, I didn't know that I wasn't suppose to actually divulge my own domain name. Sorry about that and again thanks for your suggestion about minisite with Adsense capability.

Mistra: thanks for your helpful suggestion. I just registered the domain name but didn't decide the hosting company yet. Problem is that i would like to join credit cards referral programs, but they don't allow me to join, before I have actual decent websites. Well, it seems like I need to read a lot here to get a sense where to begin. Thanks.
