A, B, and C are symbols for three different, common, English words. I own a company named A B C. The combination of these three words is unique, and since 1999 I have considered A B C to be a tradename and have claimed it as such on a published website. I own two domain names: ABC.com and A-B-C.com. A website on a shared hosting arrangement exists only for A-B-C.com. I have arranged URL forwarding for ABC.com to take one's browser to A-B-C.com. However, whenever I instruct my browser to go to ABC.com, instead of going to A-B-C.com under the URL forwarding, I end up at a site with a URL A-B.C.com. Can someone explain to me how this is being done? How can a direct URL forwarding pathway between two domain names that I own be interfered with? Is there a name for this "hijacking" technique? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks.
