Alas, it's 2006 not 2002.
In 2002-2004 chances were pretty good that there would be no more than a dozen bidders, even for a decent domain.
In 2002-2004 I could pick up some decent domain in the aftermarket.
Oy vey! 2006! Vat a year!
I just feel the need to express my anguish.
"Here me oh domain gods and goddesses! Make them go away! Make them blind the the possibilities! Make them ignorant and foolish! Make their credit cards all be over limit! I want my easy pickin's back again!"

Welcome to 2006. We are back in 1999, only this time the business model has a bit more intelligence and experience to back it up. (At least I hope so. :)
61 bidders and it's just a dot org! (But it's a pretty nice one. Hiccup!)
If I could have gotten lucky with it I would have been sitting pretty with literally hundreds of .gov and .edu back-links pointing at the domain.
I would imagine that whoever did catch it had a little party.
I can't wait to try again.
