Domain Transfer Question

What is the "transfer authorization code"? Where do I get this code?

I'm transfering a domain to PairNIC and they are asking for "Auth Info". I've not come across this before. It is a .us domain if that matters. What is it and where does it come from?

Your existing registrar provides the code. It's an added measure of security. Unfortunately, registrars are not too eager to point this information out. Some provide a link buried in the interface to "(transfer)authorization code/information/etc", while others require that you send an email to support requesting the code.

Dig around your interface and helpfaqs. If the link is not there then email support from the admin email to request the "transfer authorization code" or "EPP code".
