Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has enough experience to say if engines like Google and the like actually rate content based on location via domain name.

For example i have a number of .it domains which actually stands for Italy but they are actually good keywords. I know that AltaVista for example has a problem accepting .it domains to the UK index because it assumes they are Italian are there any other engines that do this.

Is .com always going to rank higher for content on a level par or do I have a chance of using my .it names to get high in the SE's for the keywords in the domains with the right site of course.

All feed back is welcomed

Best wishes,

Hi Brendan.

Best bet is to stick to the .com .net's for now.
