Domain not Found with WWW

Found with http://mydomain.com & not found with http://www.mydomain.com

I am having an aggravating problem. My domain currently cannot be pinged when I use www.mydomain.com and can be pinged with mydomain.com.

It seems to work for a while and then the problem returns. Any insight?

If the www works sometimes but the non-www always works, then one of your DNS servers is misconfigured. If you just changed hosts, you could have extra servers, or they could need time to synchronize.

Check your domain registration first, to make sure that the name servers that are listed are correct. Then check with your Web host to make sure that your DNS servers are correctly configured for both www and non-www.

Yep, this is it and the provider insists that everything is well.

They may be monkeying around with the DNS server. I am really having service problems with this hosting provider and had to move one of my customers recently when their mailserver went down and the provider would not respond to trouble tickets. It might be time for me to move on.
