Message Too Old, No Replies

Getting many requests to buy my websites.

New or old form of spam.

I've had websites since 1999 but just recently been getting quite a lot (10 in past 2 weeks) requests to purchase my websites.

Before that got maybe 5 over 6 years.

Is this new or have they just eventually got to mine.

Nothing exceptionally has changed on my websites.

It is probably some appraisal scam. They bait you by saying they are interested in buying your domain name. When you respond that you are willing to sell it, they say they require an appraisal from so and so website. Verify this by copying and pasting a short quote from the email into Google. Search using quotes to get results with the exact phrase.

Or sometimes it is just a competitor trying to find out how much money you make.

I've been getting more of these too. They're just offers to buy the domain name though, which is odd, since the domains have rather large websites attached with them. I could understand wanting the traffic and page rank associated with the domain, but the one that actually named a price was so ridiculousily small, I have to think it's just spammers looking for bargins.
