hi,

my domain & site hosting are both currently with a single isp.

i also have email setup on my domain.

i am considering moving my site to a new hosting co but wish to retain the services of my isp wrt my domain.

my question is would the change of nameservers affect the operation of the mail servers?

i was told that MX records are linked to the ns1/ns2 A records?

any info appreciated,

MX and NS records are not related. You can have your domain registration, DNS service, Web site, and email all in different places if you want to. It's best to have Web and email in the same place, and the DNS records need to be configured carefully. It's not uncommon for an ISP support person to mess them up.
