I'm sure this has been asked, but I couldnt't find it.

What is the current-day thinking of .com vs. the other options.

I am creating a blog and the .com version is taken. Is there a depreciated benefit to using a .net or .org?

Thanks.

Unless the blog is network related I'd choose either .Org or .Info over the .Net.

In the domain aftermarket .Net domains just aren't doing all that hot, if that's an indication of anything.

In time I suspect the TLDs will establish themselves a bit better as serving their envisioned mission, even if they remain unrestricted.

Is the hyphen version available by any chance?

Otherwise, I'd choose .info over .org for a blog also. :)

I'd use .info if its available too its more logical than .org for a blog and .info works better in languages other than English.
