Hi,

I have an good offer on a domain I own. The domain is a widgets.com type with just minimal information earning adsense revenue.

Is it silly for me not to sell the domain?

I figure that since I'm making money with absolutely no effort that increasing the AdSense income to an amount equal to the offer is doable. Especially since my domain would probably work better with affiliate sales than adsense.

Or does the domain name really not matter?

I think my ranking may be based, at least on MSN, due to my domain, so maybe the domain matters.

I'm in love with the idea of residual income.

Making 25+ a day with a brand new $7 domain should be just as doable.

So basically, any effort I put into this domain would be equally rewarded by putting effort into another domain?

I'm sure that's right. It's just that I've gotten so used to making a couple bucks a day on the strength of the domain alone, that I'm hesitant in selling it.

but if you put that same effort into your highly brandable / generic domain, you could sell the "package" - website + domain for much, much more in a few years.
