I'm completely clueless as what I can do as registrant. I would like unlock my domain and remove the current admin contact. Any help would be vastly appreicated.
I know that my host registered my domain through Enom.com, for what it's worth.
I'm really at the end of my knowledge on this matter.
ICANN, who determine policies for .COM domains, state that both the administrative contact and registrant have the authority to approve, or deny, a transfer request.
I remember one Registrar stating that, in the case of dispute, the Registrant was taken as being authoritative over the admin contact; I'll see if I can dig it out.
ICANN's transfer policy is here [icann.org]; it's not the most interesting of reads, but it looks as though you, as the Registrant, should be able to request the domain be transferred, subject to providing forms of identification.
