Which other domains point to the same server

I have tried searching for a tool that will generate a list of other domains that are hosted on (or pointed to) the same server as a particular domain name.

one thing I need it for is to identify whether additional domains also point to the same content as the domain being worked on.

The other is to judge whether or not there is a cluster of Bad Domains on a server that could possibly create a "Bad Neighbourhood.

Does anyone know of a tool that could do this for me?

This request comes up, from time to time, in a variety of forums/circumstances and I've yet to see anyone publicly post a tool that fits the description.

There are companies that track "DNS changes" and likely could issue a report, for a fee, regarding domains pointed to a particular DNS server.

Bad neighborhoods or bad domains on a server? That's a lot more problematic.

I'd start by asking a local realtor. ;0) What do you think the chances are of getting an answer about "other domains" on the server from the hosting company? Might be a bargaining point if asked up front. Not necessarily an inappropriate question given concerns about blacklisting, algo neighborhoods, etc.

I'm not certain that simply being on the same server is the same as "being in the neighborhood". Most attempts to divine algos and filters by logical inference have argued against a penalty based solely upon being hosted on the same IP address or server. The rationale is that since shared servers are very common such a "stand alone" filter/penalty would tend to penalize many innocent websites.

I agree with that - it's linking patterns that create neighborhoods of any kind, good or bad. I know of domaIns that are thriving while sharing both a server and an IP address with some pretty rough stuff.

Folks - this is a general FYI, in response to a post that included an offer to sticky info and then several "me toos".

If you want to help someone (not spam or self-promote) please simply send that person a sticky, the most polite format being an offer to assist if welcome, without having to post "I'm going to sticky you".

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

P.S. If anyone cares to sticky me info about a service related to domain names please do so. (Just don't spam me. ;o) ) I'm working on an adjustment to the anti-promotional posts policy, attempting to do a better job of defining what will be deemed informational, not promotional, in an effort to open up the dialogue a bit more. Bear with me. I, too, would prefer to feel a little less like a gatekeeper at times. ;) Thanks and keep up the good posts!

There's a site called #*$!. It gives you exactly what you need... Check this out:

[whois.sc...]

That will show you:
"Web server hosts 8 websites (reverse ip tool requires free login)"

Hope this helps...
