Hello everyone!

I have bought an expensive generic domain and I would like to know the safest register to use . The idea is avoid registras that let change owners without legal or serius evidence, the harder the process to change owner, the better,

any suggestion?
Best Regards,
Mariano.

Hi Mariano,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Please read the forum charter [webmasterworld.com]. WW does not permit recommendations of registrars, as it is open to abuse. If you want to protect your domain, you should seek a registrar that allows for domain locking. That will prevent unauthorized registrant and name server changes, as well as malicious domain transfers. For maximum protection, select a username / password for your account using a combination of at least 8 characters of uppercase / lowercase letters and numbers. You should also be alert to attempts to steal your login info via phishing.

My advice is choose a big one with deep pockets so that when you have to sue them for losing your domain there is something to go after.
