Popularity of misspelled domains

I would like to try and determine the popularity of misspelled domains. Any ideas? Overture keyword suggestion tool isn't really useful as it only measures the number of times that someone typed iwdget.com into the search box, not how many times they typed it in the URL location box. Now the odds of them not only misspelling it, but also entering it in the seach box are quite large. Ideas please.

Do a G, Y and MSN search for the mispelled term.

Webmasters are people too. Doing a search will give you some idea of the frequency of typos by people, many of whom are supposed to use spell checkers.
