Hi All.

Have people managed to dodge the sandbox by buying old domains? What success have you had with this - or any failures? I've heard that if the domain lapses, that counts as a "reset" to google and is thus worthless as far as sandbox dodging goes.

Can anyone sticky me good sites to buy domains in this way?

Cheers,

Mark

Depends upon how it's done. This was one early tactic that emerged among those looking for simple workarounds. Watch out for the WHOIS data though.

FWIW, I don't think the sandbox exists.

I Launched two sites in the last 3 months. - strictly whitehat SEO on each site.

#1 is totally new, new domain name, new content & all. It hit PR5 within 3 weeks and has been getting search engine traffic from the 2nd week on.

#2 is an old domain name, new content in keeping with the site's history/niche. PR dropped to 0 right away.

good luck
