Recently godaddy is sending an offer to signup as reseller for $89.00, what do you think of this offer?
Please, share your experience with either directi or enom, too.

GoDaddy always makes money on their offer. ;)

This is a volume business and there are lots of people playing in the same space. The money to be made - as evidenced by GoDaddy's domain sign up process - is in selling the "ups and extras". The problem with profiting is that the threshold to entry is so low and with templated sites it's so easy for someone else to set up shop.

If you have $89. to burn it's probably a cheap adventure ride. Open shop, hunt for traffic, keep constant track of what competitors offer and who knows? You might only lost $49. ;0)

Ok, Godaddy discarded.

What about eNom?
The problem I have with eNom, is that I just don't understand their multiple reseller and subreseller and subresellers of the subresellers ...
How much is for being directly a subreseller from them?
It is not published in their website.
I've seen clones of eNom's website, I wonder, which kind of reseller are this, are API? or template based?

i have used godaddy and directi

godaddy is sure more professional but i not really low cost.

directi is cheaper and works very well with paypal.

i personally prefer directi, even though it has some shortcomings.

To become an enom ETP you need to deposit the following amounts:
$495 to get $8.95 registration rates
$3975 to get $8.95 registration rates
$6950 to get $6.95 registration rates.

It is better to signup as a free subreseller under an ETP and get the $8.95 rates without the ~$500 deposit.

Speaking as an enduser, I cringe when I buy a bunch of domains already registered at a godaddy or wildwest reseller. My experience with Godaddy itself has been excellent - I would put them in the top three, but I don't care much for the downstream resellers.

The low $89 fee explains a great deal.
