Parked domains

How to bring traffic

I have around 20 unused domains and I noticed more and more parked domains are being linked to search results. Click, earned. I was wondering how these people who park domains bring traffic there? Do you think they just buy 500 domains, park them and wait or are there any activities which results in more traffic. What could that be besides submitting them to directories?

Anyone has experience with that?

Most traffic is type in.

Some traffic is from reregistered expired domains with old links.

Check with each program. Some programs have TCU that prohibit actions intended to "bring traffic". Problem is with cheap or off topic traffic that doesn't convert. Tends to kill the PPC program as the companies providing the feeds don't care for the practice. It all gets down to conversions, not traffic, not mere clicks.

I believe that any legit SEO to generate traffic is fair game, but if you are buying traffic you have crossed the line.

Many of our 'parked' domains enjoy saturations over 20k pages and incoming traffic in the 1000's daily from engines.

What do you mean by "bringing traffic"?
I agree that buying popunder / popup traffic, exit page traffic is certainly bad but what if you buy PPC traffic? You pay a PPC for certain keywords and benefit from the clicks that are generated through your site. This technique is used by many webmasters.
