Domain or Not To Domain That Is The Question

Moving income generating webpages to their own domain - a good move?

Morning all :)

My webpage is growing in traffic and Adsense revenue.

Now, I come an executive decision making time - do I purchase a domain, create dozens of more pages, (thus making it into a website of it's own), or do I keep it within the sub-domain where my blog lives, and just create the pages there?

The page(s) do quite well for various [related] terms.

So, would there be any advantages to me moving this page(s) to it's own domain - or should I leave it where it is?

Is your blog hosted by you or is it like blogger? Are these pages indexed by the search engines? If it is and your server is an apache server - create a new site and 301 redirect those links so that you don't lose the traffic and revenue. Having a stand alone domain (compared to a blogger like domain), will appeal to surfers who aren't that web savvy looking for info.

Thanks HP :)

The blog is hoted by Blogstudio.com, the pages are indexed by Google and Yahoo.

I don't know how to do a 301 re-direct.

Yes, perhaps it's own domain may be a good move - but I'm still not convinced yet.....
