I'm wondering if is it possible to change/modify whois information about a domain name.
Thanks.

Sure. Log into the registrar for the domain (networksolutions.com, godaddy.com, enom.com, wherever you signed up) and find where to change your account and user info. This is where you can change the WHOIS to reflect a change of address, or to put up a PO Box address instead of a street address--whatever. It's really easy to do. It will take a little while for the updated WHOIS to show up when people look up the domain, but not too long.
If you want complete privacy, registrars like Network Solutions and GoDaddy (and Stargate.com and Namecheap.com among others) offer "privacy" options, where they put up their WHOIS information and serve as a "proxy" for your domain.
