Hi -

I'm doing a site for a small UK charity - I tried to register a domain name for them with one of the bigger domain name registrars, but I got this error in an email shortly after I'd registered, telling me registration had failed:

Error: Could not get contacts needed for adding domain

Does anybody know what's up, and what I have to do?

I would suggest you ask the registrar what the problem was.

Hi sabai
You can do either of the above, All UK named sites go world wide through Nominet UK for which most of the registras have accounts with, Nominet can sometimes be a bit fickle on thier registration process.

If you are still having problem contact them direct,
Nominet UK, Sandford Gate, Sandy Lane West, Oxford, OX4 6LB, England (phone ... fax +44(0)1865 332299,
e-mail: nominet@nominet.org.uk

Hope that helps
