Said it before, I'll say it again: The Internet just isn't fun anymore.

When you have to be concerned about items such as foreign alphabets potentially creating havoc, it is a sad day. Even sadder when you have to be cautious using something as simple as RealPlayer [webmasterworld.com] for fear they can get inside your machine due to vulnerabilities.

Nope. Just ain't no fun anymore, least ways since monetizing the entire Internet became the new goal.

Rest assured, issues like these will seem pale in comparison to what the future has to hold.

a determinted thief only finds challenge in new technology and a righteous man finds only benefit

so the billions of now non-internet-abled people must have access to this new all native language text just as English speakers would demand it if this was a Chinese internet just now opening to the English speakers. These totally native character domain names are also available from <snip>
Don't forget that if Al Gore had originally been Chinese the internet would now be all Chinese instead of English-Roman characters.

or as Marshal McEwen has said
"First we shape our tools and thereafter our tools shape us."

Yes, the quotes are nice. Thanks for sharing them.

Do you remember seeing this one somewhere?
