Hosting more than one domain

Any penalties?

To save money I want to host more than one
site on my same account. With my hosting I can
set up a directory beneath my root and host
more than one domain. Will the site ever have
a chance of ranking if I do this? IPs will be
the same as my other site. Completely different
content and market.

Thanks

No problem. Just try not to interlink them and try to get unique incoming links for each.

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the ip address issues.
That is good to know.

It might be worth buying a few extra IPs from your ISP. That way you CAN inter-link them where appropriate.

I pay something like an extra $1/month for each additional IP.
