The value of keyword-keyword.com

If you don't own the unhyphenated version

I still do not see a lot of really successful hyphenated domains. Might be due to companies and brand owners keeping them in the back hand as a supplement to their unhyphenated version.

Is there REALLY some value to them if you don't plan on developing them but buy them for resale at a later point?

I think the main advantage of having them is to stop your competitors from buying them!

And this reduces the overall value of the domain, especially as compared to the non-hyphenated?

Or is there anyone out there who runs the show better with a keyword-keyword.tld domain, maybe let's say because separated keywords within the domain name perform better?

My take on hyphenated domains is that they're advantageous in Yahoo and they aren't disadvantageous in G - so why not.
