will se results be biased toward italians?

im thinking of buying some italian domain names along the lines of, for ex www.iamselling.it. "it" is a word and id like to use that as a marketing thing to make the domain name more memorable

so if people search for my widget shop, is it possible that high se results will only be shown to Italians?

i have noticed that google.it will show a different top10 than google.nl if the search terms are related to those countries

They will be better shown to Italians - check the European forum for discussion on SERPs changes related to TLDs...

I don't think .it's are open for anyone either - you need a european vat number of italian address I think?
