I been trinying to find a good domain name for my new website but all relevant domains are already taken. I don't want to make a brand or word for the domain.

Will using something like widgetwidget.com a good idea? is this option Google friendly?

What do you think, a possible visitor would think about widgetwidget.com? Would he click on such a domain? Would it read spammy and unprofessional? I don't see a special value of keywords in domain names anymore. I have fantasy name domains that outrank my keyword domains. I recently built a keyword-keyword2 domain without seeing any extra benefit.

Google friendly? I'm not sure how google will treat widgetwidget.com domain names in the future. I'm also not sure if stemming will help you with backlinks that use widgetwidget.com as anchor.

I'd sit down with a bottle of red wine and a standard domain lookup tool and start brain storming about a good, easy to remember, inviting unique domain name related to the site topic.

And uniqueunique is not unique.

Thaks for your post Yidaki,

Got my attention the SERPS for "widget" on Google . And I actually got the idea from there. What value on the pagerank or SERP results doest the domainname actually got? Perhaps is too litle to fall under this unprofetional option.

Biggest advantage is that if you happen to own blue-widgets.com, odds are good links you pick up will use those exact words in the anchor text. Obviously a big plus if you want to rank for "blue widgets".
