I need to transfer a bunch of .org domains from netsol and register.com to another registrar. I'm getting asked for an authorization code - what's this? And where do I get it?

Just contact your current registrar and request the codes. I'm pretty sure any transfer of .org, .info or .biz require them.

register.com places the auth code on the management console once they approve the transfer. Just log in and go to the domain management screen, and you should see it at the top of the blue details box.

Not sure of netsol... got away from them fats and furious years ago.

Netsol you have to ask for the codes. They will email them to the admin contact.

Heh, thought I'd add an "epilogue" here.

After asking NetSol about 10 times for the authorization codes - they kept waiting a day or two to answer my e-mails on this subject, and then kept suggesting various pretexts for not sending them - they finally offered "in case I was planning on moving the domains to another registrar", a cost of $15 per domain to renew them at NetSol!

Needless to say, I'm moving! :)
