We'll be moving the dns on them (changing hosts), but I'd also like to change registrars, as register.com is "offering" to renew them for $90/2yrs [gag]
As an especially bizarre turn of events, turns out 4 of them expired 3 months ago. A whois shows them expiring in 2006, but register.com says that's a mistake. In any case, those 4 are still active - one of them has a well-visited website running.
So anyway, the questions are:
1. Do co.uk domains really have to be renewed for a 2-year span?
2. What registrar to transfer them to? The one I usually use doesn't do co.uk
3. I assume that they won't accept changing the registrar for the expired domains?
I suggest someone such as Easily or 123reg, both very big Nominet members, and managing 100,000s of domains for people.
contact Nominet regarding the expired domains.
.co.uk is VERY different to .com
