Web Sites for Sale

I run a couple of relatively successful websites that I have built from scratch. Now that I have acquired a basic knowledge of how the system works, I was wanting to purchase an established website, with traffic, rather than acquire another domain name and build up another website.

My question is, where are website businesses advertised for sale? I am aware of the numerous domain name brokers and re-sellers, but I have not found a reputable website where decent established websites are offered for sale. Any suggestions?

Sedo also has websites for sale - not just domains.

Is Sedo a big German brand in this market? They're relatively unknown here in the US.

Huh? They are very well known. You just have to run in the right circles.

Really? I could name 5-10 registrars off tghe top of my head ... Sedo wasn't one of them until I ran across their site a few weeks ago. :-\

sorry to be off topic, but I just have to chime in and echo, I love sedo. If you're in domains at all you'll know them or get to know them. Their customer service is incredible.

They were down for much of the day on Saturday, so as a result they took previous day's earnings on parked domains and gave that to everyone. adsense should model after these guys...
