Hello,

My business partner had registered our domain with yahoo! and we are now purchasing a reseller account to go along with our domain. However, we would like to have private name servers w/our domain in it (rather than the host we're purchasing from). I have had no luck contacting yahoo.

Is there anyway of setting up a private name server (i.e., ns1.[mydomain].com instead of ns1.[myhost].com

And for a professional domain registrar, what would be the best (network solutions, godaddy, etc.)

I plan on transferring our domain from yahoo to another.

Thanks ( this is my first post :) )

Welcome to WW -

My opinion - stay far away from Network Solutions (now Verisign) as a domain registrar.

Speak with the admin of the place you are (or plan to) host your site - most can setup vanity name servers for an additional fee.
