At 99.95$ per year - they are a bit pricey, but Japanese domains are originally much more expensive. Great to have english user interface.

Don't you still need an address in Japan as part of the requirements?

That's pretty much the same price all the English language registrars of .jp names ask for. They justify that cost by letting you use their local address in Japan for registration purposes. Of course if you can read Japanese you can get them much cheaper ;)

There are other ways to get them cheaper. For instance, the registrar I use charges $75 for the first domain and $60 for 2+ domains, and also supplies a local presence address if required.
