Domain names with hyphens...and without...or with numbers...

Hi,

I am in the processing of buying a domain name...and the domain name most probably will have two words: "word1" and "word2"

Will be any difference for the search engines (and user friendliness) if I am using "www.word1word2.com" or "www.word1-word2.com"?

Which one should I choose?

Or should I choose a domain like this "www.1word1.com"? Or "www.word14you.com"?

my understanding of how search engines work is this;
if you have somedomain.com no body is going to type in somedomain as a search term, they will probably type in some domain (notice the space) the search engine sees somedomain as one word and will not bring back a hit for either some or domain or some domain. If you put in the hyphen (-) the search engine sees it as two different words and therefore will return a hit for some a hit for domain and a hit for some domain.

Try this example: "buch gourmet"

You will see that the search engine will find the site (and also makes you suggestions: "Did you mean "buchgourmet"?).

So, it seems that the hyphen doesn't affect the domain (the domain will be found regardless the search will be "buch gourmet", "buch-gourmet" or "buchgourmet")...
