Transfer from Dotster - any fee?

My domain is coming up for renewal and I want to transfer from dotster to godaddy.

Do you know if dotster will charge a fee to let me transfer? Am I likely to have site downtime during the switchover?

No but if its within 60 days of renewal date then you will not be allowed.
