is .net better?

I was wondering what everyone thinks about .net over .biz. A domain name (widgets.com) is already gone, but widgets.net and widgets.biz are both available.
This will be a commercial site.
I am leaning towards the widgets.net as I have been informed that sometimes .biz doesn't get spidered.
Your opinions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Personally, .biz screams fly-by-night get-rich-quick live-to-spam guy-in-basement operation. But that's just my personal opinion for one, and for another that may not be anything to care about in certain industries.

If you are concerned about search engines, .BIZ makes no difference of any kind. One domain name (even foreign ones) is as good as another.

For link exchanges, I haven't seen it make a difference, but since a human being evaluates the exchange it might possibly make a difference.

Don't think it would make a difference to a DMOZ or YAHOO editor, but who knows?

For type in domains in the browser, .BIZ is no where near as good as .COM. .NET and .BIZ are probably equivilent in that area.

It is my belief that in the U.S., you are always much better off with a .COM. Finding a different .COM would probably be better than getting a .NET or .BIZ. This is just because people have a hard enough time remembering the domain name, let alone the domain extension. But I don't know the details of your situation, there are certainly exceptions. Chances are if you get a .NET or .BIZ, people will often go to your competition's .COM if they try to remember the URL.

I dounbt The spiders will care either way(.COM, .BIZ, .NET), but I can't read their minds better than anyone else here.
