What do THEY do after a request?

I'm quite familiar with the process you go through when you transfer a domain away from NetSol to another registrar -- the emails that get sent, the web page forms that have to be approved, etc.

But what is the process when submitting a request to move a domain away from Melbourne IT? What do THEY do when a request is received?

This is my first, and it hasn't gone well. God forbid, the NetSol transfers that were made the same day went through much more smoothly....

For the record, I'll answer my own question now that a few days have passed and Melbourne's tech department finally responded to the 2nd transfer request.

When you submit a request at your registrar to transfer a domain away from Melbourne IT, Melbourne emails the admin contact for the domain ... but unlike NetSol and Register.com (which require the Admin contact to reply and approve the transfer), Melbourne IT says:

"If you DO APPROVE do nothing and we will assume the request is valid. The domain will be transferred to your new registrar automatically 5-6 days after receiving this transmission."

Interesting that they take the completely opposite approach of NetSol and Register.com (and every other registrar I've transferred domains from).

I transferred a site from them some time ago. I think I had to log into their site with my password and change the dns and stuff.... I'm sorry I don't remember.

yes I would think that this is the wrong way and leaves it open for abuse.

Just transferred a site for a client. They asked for a fax of the details and within 36 hrs we are up and running. Neat.......
