I have recently made a normal html page using dreamweaver which could be viewed on my mobile phone (sharp gx10). The site is hosted on a free webspace provider. Typing in the full url of my site is no problem but I have just got a domain name. When typed it redirects to my free space url however the mobile phone doesnt seem to like it. It just shows a blank page even when I refresh. Is there a solution?

Why not upload your page/site to the webspace that hosts your domain? That should work as intended.

Yes that is my last resort but wondered if I was doing something wrong.

The phone might not support the redirect. Are you sending a server based (301) redirect, or a meta refresh on another hosted page?

i assume its server based. I new to all this. I got my domain name yesturday and typed my free url into the forward section. It did ask me if i wanted to keep domain name in address bar or refresh to forwrding url!

Yeah, I suspected so. I've seen on various J2ME forums complaints about the GX10's browser and it having problems with various HTTP headers.

I'd upload the page to a webspace that's hosted with your domain name. Or you could complain to Sharp to fix their browser. :)
