The positive renewals system is a more efficient way of dealing with domain name renewals. Domain names will no longer be automatically renewed on expiry and instead tag holders will need to decide whether or not they wish to renew domain names on behalf of their registrants. In addition, domain names that are no longer required will become available for registration by someone else more quickly.
